Ilona Nemeth je bila rojena leta 1963 v Dunajsi Streda na Slovaškem in živi in dela blizu Bratislave. Študirala je na Madžarski Akademiji za likovno umetnost v Budimpešti – DLA Master (2000-2003). Leta 2007 je dobila Fulbright štipendijo, leta 2003 je dobila nagrado Luwdig muzeja, leta 2001 nagrado Munkacsy Mihaly Madžarskega ministrstva za kulturo in izobraževanje in leta 1998 Slovaško nagrado vizualne umetnosti, ki jo podeljuje The Foundation for a Civil Society, Bratislava, nagrado Open Europe Prize in nagrado društva madžarskih umetnkov na Slovaškem. Primarno dela s site specific instalacijami, katere večinoma realizira s pomočjo arhitekta Mariana Ravasza.

Ilona Nemeth was born in 1963 in Dunajska Streda, Slovakia, Ilona Nemeth lives and works near Bratislava, Slovak Republic. She studied at the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts, Budapest – DLA master’s course (2000-2003). In 2008 she was a winner of Fulbright Scholarshio, in 2003 she was awarded the Prize of the Ludwig Museum, in 2001 the Hungarian Ministry of Culture and Education presented her with the Munkacsy Mihaly Award and in 1998 she was awarded the Slovak Visual Arts Prize by The Foundation for a Civil Society, Bratislava, the Open Europe Prize and the award of the Association of Hungarian Artists in Slovakia. She primarily works with site specific installatons, most of which were realized with help of architect Marián Ravasz.
